Did you know that you can improve health and beauty treatments by being more particular when making the appointment?
The moon’s gravitational pull on the ocean is well known to us as tides. Imagine, most living beings consist of approximately 75% water in the form of blood, lymph, synovial and cerebral fluids, all of which are under the Moon’s subtle influence as well!
Now, this is interesting ~ the moon phase influences your body’s tendency to either absorb or release.
In the 14 days between New Moon and Full Moon, the waxing moon’s disc is becoming rounder and fuller. During this growth and expansion phase, cells are absorbing and retaining moisture, information, stimulants and also toxins. This can result in symptoms such as fluid retention, weight gain, irritability, feeling overwhelmed, sleeplessness and headaches/migraines…..
We are particularly sensitive towards the Full Moon (and when personal planets and aspects are being triggered). By being aware of this one can schedule nourishing, regenerative, strengthening and invigorating treatments to be in these two weeks.
Try this yummy Aquarius ~ Blueberry Mask
This home-made recipe will leave your skin smooth, soft, moisturised and glowing.
* Combine, 2 tbsp of yoghurt and 2 tbsp of honey, blend until fully combined.
*Add ¼ cup mixed berries and puree until smooth. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice.
*Apply to your clean, dry face and let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes.
*Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry.
The 14 days between the Full Moon and the New Moon, the waning moon’s disk is getting smaller. During this shrinking and contraction phase, cells are releasing moisture, tension, toxins and energy. Steps taken to cleanse and detox are supporting the body in its tendency to release and eliminate. At this time cleansing facials, fasting, detox, relaxing and lymphatic drainage treatments are more effective.
Enjoy a relaxing Pisces ~ Foot Soak
This quickly-made foot soak helps you relax and stay cool
* Combine 3 tbsp spoons of Bicarb Soda with 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salt and 1 tablespoon of milk powder.
* Add 5 drops of an essential oil such as tea tree, clove oil and lemon-scented gum (antibacterial and antifungal).
If the essential oils are not too strong, you can use this to water your plants.
When you tune in and support your body’s natural tendency, or avoid counterproductive days, you will benefit from these treatments more than otherwise.
