NEW MOON IN SCORPIO
For the New Moon today, the Sun and Moon are meeting in the constellation of Scorpio, a fixed water sign signified by a running snake. Passionate Scorpio is ruled by the planets Mars and Pluto and relates to 8th House matters such as money, sex, death, power, transformation, finances, taxes, inheritance, insight and wisdom through thorough investigation, occult studies, psychoanalysis.
When the Sun and Moon move through the constellation of Scorpio we feel emotionally intense, are highly imaginative and persistent with a strong sense of purpose. We can also feel more resentful or secretive.
While the Sun illuminates the male, active, initiating force, the changeable Moon rules the feminine, fecund and nurturing energy. It is passive, receptive and reflective and indicates our emotional, instinctive and fearful behaviors. People with the Moon in Scorpio tend to fear being involved and/or out of control.

From a health point of view:
The New Moon in Scorpio favors a short water or juice fast. Without fluids, waste removal from the body is slow and causes toxins to back up in the lymph nodes. Swedish Bitters keep us regular and Violet leaf tea can help clear the lymphatic system of toxins.
Conscious Creativity
This Monday is a very opportune time to align yourself to Scorpio’s energy. Take some YOU time and enjoy setting up a quiet space. Listen to gentle music, light a candle and some incense and have a glass of water, juice, tea (preferably Stinging Nettle) ready ~ or whatever takes your fancy and is appropriate.
To relax sit comfortably, inhale and exhale deeply until you settle in.
Identify and reflect on those issues and habits which are related to Scorpio by asking yourself question such as:
How can I
- Learn to relax and trust more?
- Release anger and emotional trauma?
- Allow myself to be involved?
Brainstorming, and most of all writing down what comes to your mind, helps you identify your personal theme.
While it is the best time to finally let go of what you do not want to take into the next lunar cycle, the New Moon also favors planning new projects and setting new goals. Practicing Moon Rituals such as this increase your awareness of our seasons and cycles and help you become a more conscious creator.
You can learn more about this in the Moontime Diary 2017 (page 44). Under the heading: ‘Keep this in Mind’. Liliane Grace lays bare the laws of creativity, step by step, easy to follow and ideal for New Moon Intention Setting.
Happy New Moon,
